A tired pool courtyard, rebuilt into the family's favorite room.
The owners called us in October about a pool surround that had aged out: cracked decking, a sagging pergola, and beds that had given up. By March we'd retiled the deck, framed the lounge with a new cedar pergola, and replanted the courtyard with low-water natives that read clean against the water. The pool came back online in April, and the family has barely been indoors since.
