Basecamp Coffee Co. was built on a belief that a great cup of coffee is the start of every great day. What began as a weekend pop-up cart at the Pilot Butte trailhead quickly grew into something we never could have predicted: a gathering place for the outdoor community in Bend, Oregon.
We roast all of our beans in-house every week, sourcing directly from small-batch farms in Colombia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala. No middlemen. No compromises. Just coffee we're genuinely proud to put in front of you.
Whether you're fueling up before a summit push or settling in with a book by the fireplace, you belong here. That's always been the point.
Three commitments guide every decision we make, from the farms we partner with to the way we greet you at the door.
We partner directly with small farms and pay above fair-trade prices. Every bean has a story, and we make sure it's one worth telling. When farmers thrive, the coffee is better. That's not a coincidence.
Small-batch roasting every week means you're always drinking coffee at its peak. We don't buy pre-roasted bags or sit on inventory. What you taste is as fresh as it gets outside of a farm visit.
We're not just a business in Bend. We're part of it. From sponsoring trail cleanups to hosting local art nights, we show up for the people who show up for us. This place belongs to all of us.
Every great cup starts with great people. Meet the team that makes Basecamp what it is, one shift at a time.

A former wildland firefighter with a passion for hand-roasted coffee, Jordan started Basecamp with a cart and a dream. He's been chasing the perfect roast profile ever since, and getting closer every week.

Maya brings hospitality expertise from restaurants across the Pacific Northwest. She's the reason every customer leaves feeling like a regular, and the reason the place actually runs like clockwork.

Self-taught latte artist and certified Q-grader, Theo is the technical heart of our bar program. He runs our monthly brewing workshops and makes sure every pour (from the first of the day to the last) is exactly right.
A lot has changed since that first weekend at Pilot Butte. Here's how we got from a hand-cart to where we are today.
We launched as a weekend pop-up at Pilot Butte trailhead with a hand-cart, a pour-over kit, and a whole lot of optimism. We sold out every Saturday for six months straight.
After consistently selling out every weekend, we signed a lease on a cozy 400 sq ft space on Wall Street in downtown Bend. Small, but it was ours, and it was packed from day one.
We invested in a 5kg drum roaster and started roasting all of our coffee in-house every week. Quality went up, costs went down, and we never looked back. This changed everything.
We moved to our current 1,800 sq ft location on Evergreen Trail, complete with a full scratch kitchen, an expanded bar, and the fireplace that regulars now quietly fight over every morning.
We officially launched our catering arm, bringing the Basecamp experience to weddings, corporate retreats, and outdoor events across Central Oregon. The cold brew bar alone has earned us a reputation we're proud of.
