Two brothers, five bays,
seventeen years in.

We started Redline in a single rented garage off Central Avenue with a borrowed lift and one OBD scanner. Today we run a five-bay shop, a dyno cell, and a fleet division, and we still answer the phone ourselves.

Our Story

Built one repair at a time.

In 2008, Marcus and Andre Reyes opened Redline with $11,000 in savings and a hand-drawn sign. Marcus had spent eight years under the hood at the BMW dealer in Pineville. Andre had run the diagnostics bench at a Honda shop in Concord. Both were tired of being told to upsell customers on work they didn't need.

The first year was tight: they shared one toolbox, and the office was a folding table. Word got around fast, though. By 2011, they had taken over the building next door. By 2016, they were running five bays with a team of nine and turning away work.

The shop has grown, but the rule we wrote on day one is still taped to the wall above the service desk: "Show them the part. Then fix it right."

Mile Markers

Seventeen years of receipts.

  1. 2008

    Doors Open

    Marcus and Andre lease a single-bay garage on Central Ave. First customer: a 1998 Civic with a no-start. Fixed in 40 minutes. Tab: $60.

  2. 2011

    Bay Two & Three

    Take over the adjacent building, expand to three bays, hire first full-time tech (Jamal, still here), add full alignment rack.

  3. 2014

    ASE Blue Seal

    Earn ASE Blue Seal of Excellence; every tech in the shop certified across at least four service categories. Renewed annually since.

  4. 2017

    Performance Division

    Add an AWD chassis dyno and dedicated tuning bay. First full-build project: a turbo'd Subaru that went 11.4 in the quarter the next spring.

  5. 2020

    Fleet Program

    Launch fleet maintenance for local trades. Net-30 billing, priority bays, dispatch coordination. Now servicing 60+ vehicles for 18 area businesses.

  6. 2024

    EV & Hybrid Certified

    Two technicians complete high-voltage HV1 & HV2 training. Added charging diagnostics and battery service to the menu.

  7. Today

    Five Bays · Twelve People

    12,000+ vehicles serviced. 800+ five-star reviews. Same two brothers, same wall sign, same warranty, now backed by a better team than we ever dreamed.

The Crew

Twelve people. Zero commission.

Nobody at Redline gets paid more for selling you more work. Our techs are on flat hourly + bonuses tied to repeat customers, not parts margin. It changes everything about how we quote.

Code of the Shop

Four rules. Taped to the wall.

These have been the same since 2008. We read them on Monday mornings, and they're how we judge whether a job went right.

  1. 01

    Show, then fix.

    Every recommendation comes with a photo or video. If we can't show you what's wrong, we don't charge you to replace it.

  2. 02

    Quote before wrench.

    You approve every line before any work happens. No surprise charges, no "while we were in there" bills at pickup.

  3. 03

    Two sets of eyes.

    Every repair is road-tested by a second tech before pickup. If both don't sign off, the car stays in the bay.

  4. 04

    Own the comeback.

    If something we did fails inside the warranty, we fix it free, get you a loaner, and call to say sorry. No fine print.
